Kevin Love to Cleveland Cavaliers for Wiggins, Bennett and 2015 First Round Draft Pick?

While Cleveland is celebrating the return of Lebron James, it looks like two Cavalier players may not be joining in the festivities. Reportedly, the Cavs are in talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves to bring All-Star forward Kevin Love to C-town. In the trading game, reports indicated Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and even a first-round 2015 draft pick will be up for grabs. If the trading rumors are true, the confirmation can come later this month.

The agreement is pretty hush-hush right now, since Wiggins’ - a number one 2014 NBA draft pick - contract has not yet reached the one month minimum.

Currently, no other teams are involved or considered part of the negotiations. With James back at the Q arena, and Kyrie Irving, fans are clamoring for more, and it appears Dan Gilbert is willing to open his pocketbook. The contract between Cleveland and Love is rumored to be a $120 million (minimum) on a five year term. The agreement is a firm one, and will see Love bowing out of his Timberwolves contract to join the most anticipated team. Well at least to Cleveland fans.

For Minnesota, they are looking forward to having Wiggins joining their team and see massive potential in him. The deal would had not gone through unless Cleveland added him, sources report.

Of course with a potential of violating the salary cap circumvention rules, no sides are confirming or hinting at this trade.

Love has not been shy to share he has no intention of resigning with the Timberwolves, but his contract with Minnesota is not up until the summer of 2015, meaning discussions must be nil until that time.

ESPN states Love had shown interest in playing with James, and reportedly made the intent he would be willing to commit some years in the city to do just that. James’ own contract is not exactly stable, and he even has the right to move into free agency the following summer.

Love coming to Cleveland? If the trade of Wiggins and Bennett confirms later this month, next summer will likely see Love in a Cavaliers jersey. What do you think of the rumors?
