We have all seen photographs of celebrities who have drastically altered their appearances over the years. Perhaps the most famous celeb who openly admitted to several sessions under the knife is the late comedian and entertainer Joan Rivers. Sometimes though, celebs change their look so much they are completely unrecognizable to their fans.
This is definitely the case with 45 year old Renee Zellweger, whose recent changes shocked her fans so much they took to Twitter to express their disbelief. Zellweger made her debut into show business with a role in the 1996 hit Jerry McGuire. While she has altered her appearance for her films as many actors do, including dyeing her hair and gaining and losing weight, she does not even seem to be a hint of the pretty, perky blonde with a contagious smile that she once was.
Though Zellweger has claimed multiple times that she has never had any plastic surgery, even botox, fans have speculated as to whether or not she has had minor surgeries during her successful career. However, nothing prepared them for what they saw this past Monday. Zellweger emerged Monday after quite a bit of time out of the public eye to attend the Elle Magazine 21 Annual Women in Hollywood event. While she was in good spirits posing with her boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II, people are claiming the now unrecognizable Zellweger looks like a cross between Cameron Diaz and a blonde Juliette Lewis.
Many believed that her months in hiding were because the couple was reportedly planning to adopt their first child. However, now some are speculating as to whether or not she was having some major surgery and needed the time to heal. In an interview with Mirror, leading plastic surgeon Dr. Fuat Yuksel from Longevita stated that, “Renee has undergone some facial procedures to contour the shape of her face including, fillers around her nasolabial folds and cheeks to give her face a fuller appearance, plus botox around the brow area to tighten her skin and make it appear more youthful.” Take a look and judge for yourself!
