Buffalo Bills Offensive Line Coach, Aaron Kromer, Arrested for Battery

After a tragic season with the Chicago Bears, their offensive coordinator, Aaron Kromer was fired this past winter. One of the leading points pointing to his termination was the critical skewering he made on quarterback Jay Cutler to an NFL Network reporter. Kromer told the reporter not to reveal his identity as he criticized the quarterback heatedly and blamed him for the loss of a game. At a later date, Kromer admitted to the team he was the talking head behind the critical statement that was used by the media.

He made a tearful apology to the team, but it did little to spare him his job. Following his termination, Kromer joined the Buffalo Bills as an offensive line coach in January. Kromer is back in the news, but this time for something far worse.

Kromer was arrested in Florida early Sunday morning and charged with battery with the intent to cause bodily harm. The charge is considered a misdemeanor. The Walton County Sherrif’s Office confirmed it was the offensive line coach who was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning from his home in Inlet Beach, Florida. Kromer posted bail nearly two hours later. The information is vague right now, but sources state Kromer entered into a physical altercation with the son of a next-door neighbor. The son was, reportedly, a juvenile but did not suffer any injuries. Officers declined to confirm the age of the victim. The details of the incident have not been released at this time.

The NFL recently beefed up their personal conduct policy and takes a harsh stance against any employees or players who are involved with any incidents of violence.

The Buffalo Bills have responded to the media and advised “we are aware of the report and in the process of gathering the facts.” Kromer has not made a public statement at the time of this publication regarding his arrest.
