Honey Boo Boo the infamous Toddlers & Tiaras princess announced on her Facebook page her Uncle Poodle just got engaged. While Poodle has yet to confirm, well wishers and those shunning gay marriage were quick to respond on the more than 1,000 comments chain. The 9-year-old bigger than life reality star is thrilled to be immersing in season 5 of her upcoming favorite show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. During downtime leading up to the new season, it appears the family is embracing soaking in the sun and a bigger bank account.
In the last episode of season 4, Chickadee (Anna) married her beau in a sun-splashed wedding, and fans already started pining away for information on season 5.
While the financials between the “stars” of the show and TLC have not been made public, it was previously reported the family rakes in about $50,000 per episode. The fanciful and never boring family is slated to make an appearance on home television screens sometime in January of 2015.
As the series is soon to arrive, troublesome news is on the horizon. It was reported this summer during an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo) was horribly out of control, and even struck her mom. It was then reported the show took great strides to edit the tape to remove some scenes from the final copy before it aired.
It seems Honey Boo Boo is a not-so-honey-like young girl, but rather as Christy O’Shoney over at Salon called her, a “tiny, dimpled monster.” Christy was in attendance for the Tonight Show and wrote a very telling article on Honey Boo Boo’s antics.
Could this sour some fans when it comes to the January premiere of season 5? Possibly, the reality show already faces rising criticism for their antics, which resemble a “hillbilly” circus of bad manners, no respect and very little class.
Christy also discussed it seemed Mama June was feeding lines to the little star to repeat. Could Honey Boo Boo be ready to toss in the towel, but her family is pushing her to go on, resulting in bad behavior and responses like striking out at her mom?
