Are we all accounted for? The latest Kim news is pretty sigh-worthy to those who are just tired of the Kardashians in general. Paper stated their ultimate goal was to “break the Internet” and they could think of no other way to do so, but to tap Kim Kardashian for her to drop her pants. I could think of a few ways to inspire the Internet. Like pointing out women who have, with clothes on, conquered stereotypes and have successfully marked a path in their life. But, hey, who cares about that?! Kim K’s butt is once again on display, oiled up for good measure. There is one positive here - the booty picture did not break the Internet. How would I ever survive? I guess dropping the $10 for the Paper edition is also no longer needed, Netflix thanks you.
The fact Kim is considered a “pop culture” icon is frightening. The days of the 80s are forever gone, aren’t they? When it comes to Kim, she has developed her Selfish book, which depicts, well her, in a non-stop collage of everything Kim. It appears her ability to delve into egocentric behavior is remarkably natural.
The image is naturally drawing cries of Photoshop, since Kim’s waist looks unnatural on the magazine cover. In addition, she has become the icon in dozens of memes, which all can be reviewed with a simple hashtag: #BreakThe Internet. Some are pretty clever, such as depicting Kim as half-centaur, and others adding her to Mount Rushmore.
There is still some class among the real talent in Hollywood. Naya Rivera who plays Santana on Glee, and songstress Lorde both commented on the picture.
Rivera replied on Kim’s picture with “you’re someone’s mother…” and Lorde tweeted the picture mentioning the mom factor as well.
No one will really know why Kim has taken the stance to act like an Internet soft-core adult star, but (no pun intended), maybe it is a cry of attention as Iggy Azalea climbs the charts and has been noted for her own gluteus maximus.
