Dr. Arthur K. Zilberstein is an anesthesiologist at the Swedish Medical Center, in Seattle. He was recently suspended, following an investigation which revealed startling claims. Zilberstein exchanged dozens of sexting messages, during one surgery alone, where he is to monitor the patient’s vitals. Altogether, between April and August of 2013, 250 sexually explicit text messages were discovered during medical procedures. Zilberstein was to actively participate in these procedures, such as C-sections, epidurals, tubal ligations and more. An investigation by the Washington state health authority, revealed Zilberstein “compromised” patient safety due to his interruption “with sexual matters.” His perversion did not stop or begin with sexts.
In correlation with the sexual selfies Zilberstein sent, disturbing scenarios were noted in the documents. The doctor accessed medical images for use as sexual gratification, and had sex in the hospital with unidentified persons.

The charges from the state include 29 unauthorized prescriptions Zilberstein penned for narcotics. A former patient states the doctor had sex with her, and prescribed unauthorized narcotics to her.
Two patients have stepped forward, stating Zilberstein sent them nude selfies, where he is plainly “exposing his genitals.” The state blasted the anesthesiologist, stating he demonstrated “moral turpitude” which reflects negatively on the medical profession, as a whole.
What is surprising is the fact these allegations were discovered by the state officials, but not by the hospital. Hospital spokesman, Clay Holtzman released a statement, advising the hospital just learned of these allegations this past week, and immediately suspended Zilberstein’s privileges on Friday.
Reportedly, Zilberstein is not a direct employee for the Swedish Medical Center, but a contract employee from Physicians Anesthesia Services. Attempts to reach the doctor was unsuccessful. Zilberstein has been practicing medicine since 1995.
The charges against him would have to be resolved before he practices again. Under state law, he has 20 days to respond and request a hearing. It is unknown if Zilberstein acquired counsel at this time, to defend or explain his perverse charges, which have many patients and the public stunned.
