When it comes to iPhones, let’s be clear. Apple is locked, sealed and will never, and we mean never release hints, suggestions or teases. The company is so serious about that they are hiring an elite team of insiders to locate leaks and patch them completely.
Even Apple employees are not provided information on when to expect the iPhone next generation - yes, so calling and harassing Apple or carriers is pretty pointless. Overall, this is what we do know and what we have been told:
We spoke to an Apple store manager, who refused to provide his name, but stated corporate is advising come the fall, a couple weeks will be blocked out for denied vacation requests. Reportedly, the release might take place around September 19, give or take a week.
Many outlets speculated June, but with enhanced versions - Apple is not exactly dealing with the iPhone 3GS anymore, and with two reported versions, September is more likely.
Specs Possible
In the game of possibilities for iPhone 6, we have been introduced to several clues as to what the iPhone 6 will be equipped with:

- Fingerprint security technology advancement.
