Last week, leaked pictures of the Apple iPhone 6 were shared on Twitter. This week, another rumor is hitting the ground running, and has been verified by two very strong sources. Deutche Telekom, the German carrier, leaked reports the release date of the iPhone 6 will be on Sept. 19. Tencent, a Chinese Internet company also confirmed the date as Sept. 19. While the date is a prediction, it is a good one based on the previous years release of the iPhone models. Not surprisingly, Apple remains mums the word on the matter.
What is also being leaked are the prices of the handsets. The 32GB version of the phone is expected to be about $850, and the 64GB version is expected to run an astounding $1,008. The pricing for the 16GB model was not advised.
The pricing is much higher than in times past, indicating it could be due to a bigger screen and advanced specs. The A8 processor and the iOS 8 firmware is expected to arrive in the potential two version of the iPhones. Earlier this month, Apple did launch the unveiling of the iOS 8, the pattern is similar to one seen last year when iOS 7 was announced. In September, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were released.
Bloomberg released on Monday, Apple is expected to enter production of the iPhone 6 in July, and two models will hit the assembly lines. Viral Global News has previously reported on leaks regarding the specs and features of the upcoming two versions.
Industry analysts have also shared the larger iPhone model may result in empty shelves, much quicker than expected, and will fall short of consumer demands. A similar process followed the release of the iPhone 5s Gold, which resulted in people hitting eBay to drop up to $10,000 on the phone.
The proposed release is inching closer, as the newest, predicted date is Sept. 19. Looking forward to the iPhone 6 and two versions, or has Apple disappointingly followed the trend?
