Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter has recently been released for iOS devices, and features a ton of cool gameplay. Assigned the position of vault overseer, the “vault sim” tasks players with constructing, organizing and protecting his/her vault.
With the game quickly becoming one of the most popular apps on Apple’s iTunes store page, hundreds of thousands of gamers have been playing the free-to-play game. It must be said, however, the game does come with some pretty creepy (albeit hilarious) moments. While some of these super inappropriate incidents are clearly deliberately provoked by the players themselves, others appear to manifest purely by coincidence. Frankly, it adds to the game’s charm.
The Vault Experiments
The sadists over at Kotaku have recently compiled a list of the most f-ked up experiments to perform on Fallout Shelter’s vault-dwellers.
One such monstrous act would involve creating vaults with no food or water, simply through neglecting to incorporate diners or water treatment plants into the vault. The player can then use an army of pregnant vault-dwellers to sustain a vault, without needing food (as pregnant characters and children are invulnerable to radiation and starvation).
Other cruel experiments involve dispatching vault-dwellers into the post-apocalyptic wasteland, without any armaments, stimpaks or radaways, and seeing how long they can survive for. Alternatively, players can transform their vaults into weapons-free zones, meaning they would have to survive the apocalypse using only their fists.
