Ex-Marine Flips Out Over Islam School Assignment

A father and ex-Marine has completely flipped out over a school assignment on Islam sent home with his 11th grade daughter, reports the Daily Mail. Maryland man Kevin Woods flew into a rage when he found out his daughter was required to write a paper about the five main pillars of Islam, and he called the school to demand that his daughter’s teachers give her a different assignment. However, the school responded by stating that his child needed to complete the work or they would give her a failing grade.

Upon hearing that the school was unwilling to cooperate, Woods screamed “take that Muslim-loving piece of paper and shove it up your white a**!” He says that because kids in schools are not allowed to practice Christianity, then he deeply objects to his child “practicing” Islam. He vowed to bring a “s*** storm” down on the school.

The school responded by saying that the students were not required to practice Islam, but that they were required to learn the prescribed lesson about world history. Woods was banned from the school entirely after he had a phone argument with Vice Principal Shannon Morris. Now, he is not allowed to visit the school and has been formally issued a “no trespass” order.

Woods’ wife Melissa states that her husband “does not think all Muslims are bad” and that the school has failed to teach the “current events” on Islam. She also implied that the school is portraying Islam in a more positive light than the religion deserves by making it sound like a religion of peace.

The Woods’ say that there is no way their daughter is going to do the assignment, and that they would rather have her take a failing grade than have her learn about the tenets of Islam. They are scheduled to meet with the school board to see if some sort of agreement can be reached over the issue, such as an alternate assignment.
