Times are hard, we fully acknowledge that. I received a few emails over the past few weeks from readers who wanted to know the cheapest place to shop for the holidays. I always recommend homemade gifts first, and then a visit to local shops for very cool trinkets. For some families, they want something purchased, simple and more importantly incredibly inexpensive. Enter Dollar Tree. Where everything is literally a dollar. While this may not make sense for items that can be bought for less at times, like crayons, it does offer tremendous specials on others.
The Dollar Tree website is touting great buys for the holiday season and enough to keep even the mandatory penny pincher’s spending to a minimum. What are some of the better buys? Check out my favorites list below:
Electronics
Earbuds are always needed by people with mobile phones and iPod players. Dollar Tree has great, comfortable choices and colors for review. There is also a great clip-on LED book light, docking charging station for Android phones, Stylus pens and battery operated window and door alarms. $5 for 1 one each.
House Decor
There were beautiful long-stemmed tealight candle glass holders, add that with pillar candles and a cool picture frame can amount to a $3-$4 for a great Christmas bag of goodies.
Bath & Body
Purchasing a cheap gift bag can lead to a wonderful scented gift bag of goodies for your loved one. Yardley products are with Dollar Tree and there is a delightful Oatmeal and Almond Soap bar. Added with a Cherry Blossom body wash, scented bath salt, a mesh body sponge and exfoliating bath gloves provides a great gift package. All for $5
Toys for Kids

It is an opportunity to expand love for family and friends, but if you want a gift, check out Dollar Tree. Our review of the store was worth the trip and buys.
