Liberal Apologists for Islam Have Blood on Their Hands

Liberal apologists for Islam are suffering from “political correctness syndrome” and they exhibit a willful ignorance about the world’s most violent religion. Famous liberal Bill Maher, who is generally right on nearly 100 percent of issues except for his skepticism on climate change, leads the way in exposing the truth about liberals’ unwillingness to see Islam for what it really is: a belief system that celebrates denigration and death.

Liberals who support Islam and the Koran have blood on their hands. They are partially responsible for the massacre in Paris that killed 12 people at the Charlie Hebdo offices and another four bystanders at a market in France. Liberals who refuse to speak the truth about Islam are also partly responsible for 9/11 and all previous and future attacks on innocent civilians by radical Muslims.

One of the most damaging falsehoods believed by liberals is that Islam is a “religion of peace” and that the Koran does not call for violence. Anyone who suffers from this delusion has never read the Koran and is blind to what is contained therein. There are dozens of passages that directly instruct believers in Islam to murder non-believers and to slaughter anyone who leaves the religion. These passages are easy to find by obtaining a copy of the Koran and reading it, or just by Googling (for those who are too lazy to actually read the book they seem to love so much.)

Some liberal apologists for Islam say that the 20-plus passages of the Koran demanding murder in the name of Allah have been “misinterpreted.” That is false. The instructions are abundantly clear, and they are so repetitive that there is no room for any interpretation other than what can be seen at face value. Over and over and over again, the Koran dictates that people who do not believe in Islam should be beheaded, tortured and killed. These words are accessible for anyone who cares to do their own research rather than living as sheep, blindly following the crowd without an original thought in their own minds, repeating the ludicrous sentiments of someone like Ben Affleck, who is incapable of even distinguishing what is “race” and what is “religion.”

Besides the Koran being unarguably bloody and violent, it is also highly derogatory toward women. This accounts for the torture many women in Muslim countries suffer daily, including getting stoned to death after rape; being forced into marriages they do not desire; having acid thrown in their faces for perceived transgressions against Islam; and being viewed as lower than men.

Liberals often state that a majority of so-called “moderate” Muslims disagree with such treatment of women. Once again, that is a complete falsehood. However, there is no need to take this writer’s word for it-the word of an extremely liberal non-Muslim in a non-primarily-Muslim country. The best person to ask is a woman who was raised in a Muslim household. As Muslim blogger Eiynah writes, a good number of moderate Muslims believe strongly in the denigration and subjugation of women. In an open letter to Ben Affleck, who calls any criticism of Islam “racist,” she writes:

Why is it okay for women of the rest of the world to fight for freedom and equality while we are told to cover our shameful bodies? Can’t you see that we are being held back from joining this elite club known as the 21st century?…Many will try to deny it, but please hear me when I say that these are not fringe values. It is apparent in the lacking numbers of Muslims willing to speak out against the archaic Shariah law. The punishment for blasphemy and apostasy, etc, are tools of oppression…Where are the Muslim protestors against blasphemy laws/apostasy? Where are the Muslims who take a stand against harsh interpretation of Shariah?

As Eiynah illustrates in this portion of her letter to Ben Affleck, women are indeed deeply oppressed under Islam, and not just by “fringe” groups like ISIS and the Taliban. No, women in Islam are oppressed, period. And not only are women oppressed by Islam, but as it is clear to see from Eiynah’s letter, most “moderate” Muslims believe in strict interpretations of Shariah law, as well.

As Bill Maher correctly points out, hundreds of millions of Muslims believe “when you make fun of the prophet, all bets are off.” In other words, many Muslims (not a majority, but many) most likely believe that the Charlie Hebdo murders were completely justified. This fact has been proven by multiple scientific sociology studies. In fact, any liberal person who wants to be educated about this issue can easily read results of a PEW study about Muslim attitudes around the world. PEW is a highly respected organization and their polls are widely regarded as accurate. These facts are not right-wing, Fox News opinions. These facts are supported by a wealth of evidence; so much evidence, in fact, that the continuing collective willful ignorance of liberal apologists for Islam is completely confounding.

If this is wrong; if many Muslims do not support such actions, then where is the massive outcry within the Muslim community about what happened in Paris on Jan. 7? Yes, there were some Muslims that attended the march in Paris last Sunday protesting the slaughter that took place at Charlie Hebdo, but, according to witnesses at the event, their presence was tiny compared to the 3.7 million who attended. New York Magazine writer Tim Murphy notes that there was no significant representation of Muslims at the march. In fact, there have been no media reports of a large Muslim presence at the rally at all. Why?

Therein lies the absolute heart of the issue: millions of Muslims, radical and moderate alike, support the kind of violence that was seen in Paris, and that is the primary reason why liberal apologists for Islam have blood on their hands.

Muslim commentator Sudesh Narine urges all liberals to embrace the criticism of Islam, saying:

True liberals should not avoid criticizing Muslim voices that promote modern barbarity. Not every Muslim holds extremist or Islamist beliefs, but enough do that we must criticize those that endorse violence and reactionary, fundamentalist doctrines severely. If we choose to sit back and say that Islam only has a problem with a small minority, the real reformers in these societies who risk their lives for liberty will no doubt fail. We must support liberty, even if it offends ones sacred beliefs.

Narine is not the only Muslim who feels this way; far from it. More and more Muslims who have left the religion and even those who still consider themselves followers of Islam are joining together to ask the white liberal apologists to give up their “white savior syndrome” and allow for Islam to be scrutinized. Ex Muslim photographer Sufian Ahmed published the following letter on his Facebook page:

Dear White Liberal Apologists of Islam,

I understand your need to want to come to the rescue of the “poor brown Muslim” because they are the “marginalized minorities in the bad evil West,” but you are not helping anyone by saying that freedom of speech should stop where the hurt feelings of Muslims start.

You had your Christian enlightenment, with the help of minorities within your religion who wrote great critique of religion, who satarised its ideas, and challenged its authority. That minority who dared to challenge the dogmas were persecuted for it, and in some cases, killed for it, but in the end, Reason did prevail (to most ends.)

It is now our time to do this with our (ex) religion-Islam. We the minorities within Islam who are all for freedom of expression and freedom of speech, which also includes the right to offend religious feelings, need to challenge our authority, our holy books, our sacred ideas and scriptures. It is our time to bring about enlightenment. It is our time to progress. Please don’t get in our way.

Kindest regards,
A minority person in Islam

Liberals must stop the apologies for the world’s most violent religion and start telling the truth about Islam. We must discuss the inherent problems within the ideology of Islam and the Koran, and begin to raise awareness about how dangerous and damaging this religion truly is. Or else, as Muslim blogger Eiynah says, “In the interest of being politically correct and ‘liberal’, we silence the voices of millions.”
